Add Mute to Sound Options
Topic name says it all. This suggestion is for people that HA alot or talk on vent but don't want to hear the GW sounds. Instead of putting all the bars down, just tick this option and you don't need to go through the hassle of doing it.

I wouldn't mind if they added this, but it seems so unnecessary.

I would love this so much. I hate having to turn everything up and down all the time :/
A universal sound volume bar would be nice too so that I don't have to turn them down individually.

Yeah, I would love something like this. Not necessarily for vent stuff, since I don't mind having the UI and effects volume down pretty low anyway. I would like to be able to mute the in game music instead of having to use the slide bar whenever I want to listen to external music.

I'll /sign this, without delay. An option like that would be a great improvement IMO.

You can do this now. Make a copy of your gw.exe shortcut with the -nosound command-line switch, and launch that one when you want to mute.

MisterB's little fix seems a little overkill considering. I love listening to the GW soundtrack while PvEing, but when I switch to PvP, the sounds get in the way of me hearing what people say on vent. Most times I get lazy and don't reset the sound after I finish PvPing. Then I realize how quiet GW is with it off, and turn it back on a few days later. Really annoying.
In short, /Signed

I'll sign this for those who want it. Personally I like to be able to hear the sounds, some skills have a very distinctive sound, like when Diversion gets put on an Ally...the sounds can come in very handy for me.

The difference between mute and sliding down the volume is that mute saves CPU/Sound card resources.
That's reason enough to allow mute when you are listening to your own music.

/signed. I often mute the game temporary.
Id love a /mute command or somthing, beats going through the options and messing up all the settings, plus when i retore it again it seems not to work so good (music works, but effect sounds seem to dissapear). So it would save uneccary time and effort.

That would completely mute the sound.
What if you just want the music or the voices?
